Spencer was recently named the winner of the 2007 Takoma Park Folk Festival Emerging Artist Showcase Competition (www.tpff.org), and is a 2008 accepted performer at The Strathmore Hall Foundation (www.strathmore.org). Spencer performed songs from his latest album, Goodnight Rosebud, at both the TPFF competition and the Strathmore invitational auditions. Goodnight Rosebud, which continues to receive accolades, features Spencer as songwriter, vocalist, and pianist, and spans the genres of Pop, Rock, and Folk.
